Members were treated to a wonderful recital by Sue, John and Patrick of music by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, on Friday 31 October.
As Sue explained, the music of these three composers pervades all areas of life, and their works form the bedrock and basis of so much that has been written in the last 320 years. Their compositions are varied, emotionally wide-reaching and have the ability to touch the hearts of people the whole world over.
Each musician introduced the different pieces, providing their own perspectives on their instruments and the compositions. The audience appreciated the beautiful music and the skill with which it was performed.
A retiring collection raised a total of €90.00.
