After a busy year of fundraising the Club was delighted to donate €1556 to Save the Children Nederland. Martine, the link person between the Club and the charity, presented the cheque to Anne-Marie, who had been present for our biggest charitable event in November, the Winter Fair. Other activities have included a music recital, bingo and quiz mornings, as well as book, plant and gift sales.
On behalf of Save the Children Nederland, Anne-Marie expressed gratitude and appreciation for the amount raised and assured Members that the funds will be put to immediate and very good use, especially given the numerous international situations creating demand for the Charity’s work, both internationally and here in the Netherlands.
Club Members vote to adopt a new charity each year and the one chosen for 2026 / 2027 is Voedselbank Haaglanden, for which fundraising is well underway.
