Dear British Club Members
It has been a while since we received your donation to our organisation, Alzheimer Haaglanden. I would like to share with you what we did with the generous donation you gave us.
We have put it to good use: we organised a very special evening on Thursday 7 November for people with dementia and their primary carer/spouse at the Kunstmuseum in The Hague. The evening included a dinner prepared by the Participatiekeuken, plus musical entertainment and an art tour in the museum (Kunstconnectie). De Kunstconnectie (art connection) is a programme developed especially for people with dementia, a free programme of the Kunstmuseum.
Thanks to your donation, and subsidy from Fonds 1818, we were able to treat 120 guests to a free evening of entertainment and a connection with art. It was a huge success, people enjoyed it so much to be out and about together. And they felt welcome and safe in the dementia-friendly environment we could offer them.
Again, we would like to thank you, also on behalf of our guests.
